Kitlocker.com x Football Beyond Borders - 2023

We recently had our now annual visit from our good friends at Football Beyond Borders and the fantastic young people that they work with.

We’ve been working with FBB for a number of years now, not only providing them with branded Nike gear, but more importantly giving their young people some valuable experiences both at Kitlocker HQ and beyond.

So, who are Football Beyond Borders?

For those of you who don’t know about the incredible work FBB does with hundreds of young people every week, let us fill you in! 

FBB was built to help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds who have been disengaged with their education. Their programmes are designed to help with grades and develop long term support, relationships, and skills to aid their transition into adulthood. 

In FBB’s own words “We exist to change the lives of young people. There are thousands of young people who are passionate about football but are not fulfilling their potential in school.”

What was the visit all about?

We invited the young people of Football Beyond Borders to Kitlocker.com to give them a taste of a workplace in the sporting industry. Offering an insight into various deparments within the business, with the aim of giving them some inspiration for their own future careers.

Whilst here, they also put some of their skills into practice by bringing their own kit designs to life. We really enjoyed hearing what the ideas were behind each design and seeing the creative side of FBB’s young people in action.

We’re really looking forward to welcoming Football Beyond Borders to Kitlocker HQ again in the near future!
