We recently spent the day with Fulham Captain and Scotland international Tom Cairney.

The cultured midfielder came through the youth ranks at Leeds United before starting his professional career with Hull City in Phil Brown’s Premier League side.

A spell with Blackburn Rovers followed which is where he really started to make a name for himself as a classy playmaker with an eye for goal.

Next came current club Fulham, who he helped steer to promotion last season, becoming a firm fans favourite and earning international recognition in the process.

Fresh from scoring the winning goal in “the richest game in football” and securing Premier League status for Fulham, we thought the main man was ready for his next titanic battle…

We put him to the test against Kitlocker employee/Semi-pro footballer Lee Cooksey and Sunday league icon and Palmers FC midfielder Tommy in a couple of football related challenges.

An easy win for the international footballer surely? Check out the videos below to find out…

Cairney is kitted out in products from the Nike Squad 17 range, available from Kitlocker.com. Lee Cooksey is in the Nike Park 18 range and Tommy is strutting his stuff in Nike Academy 18 products.

We also took the chance to have a quick chat with Cairney about THAT game, captaining Fulham in the Premier League and his advice to aspiring young footballers. See what he had to say below…

It was great for us to meet Tom (the Premier League one, no offence Tommy) and see a top class footballer in action up close, so major thanks to the main man for turning out for us.

Thanks also go out to the guys at Nike for making it happen and hooking us up with Tom. We hope to bring you more content with some of the game’s biggest stars soon, so watch this space…

Big thanks to Middlesex FA for letting us use their fantastic new facility at Rectory Park. For more on this, click here.

Last but definitely not least thanks to Smiv and Tommy from Palmers FC for joining us and helping put together the videos. Keep up with everything the Palmers boys have got going on over on their YouTube channel! Click here.
