Following our support for the likes of Grenfell Athletic and Broadley FC in the last year, we are delighted to announce that another hugely important cause has teamed up with for the release of their next match kit. Welcome, BHF FC! Joins Forces with BHF FC

BHF FC was launched three years ago in memory of Peter Burr. His son, Gary, set up the team with his friends to raise awareness of heart conditions and money for the British Heart Foundation.

Since then the Lincoln-based charity has competed in numerous games across the country, including a fiercely contested Lincolnshire derby against our friends Broadley FC as well as a trip to St. George’s Park.

With the charity team unable to compete in matches over the winter Gary has been busy planning fixtures for the coming months, and a securing a brand new match kit to compete them in.

We’re thrilled to be working with the side, and hope that their shirts will serve them well when they return to action.

Charity Team Set Target for 2021

Gary, a Fundraising Manager for the charity, is hoping to raise £10,000 for the charity by the end of year.

“As a club, we have raised £7,700 so far,” said Gary. “This is mainly due to the charity football matches we have played, but also through donations.”

Unfortunately the pandemic has hit the club hard, and has meant that the charity have not been able to raise funds as they normally would. Still, they have persevered throughout the last year.

“During the outbreak of Covid-19, many of our games have been cancelled, but the team has been taking part in various virtual challenges as another way to raise money.”

Brand New Match Kit and Training Top

Fortunately for lovers of grassroots football, the sport is back today. This means charity teams like BHF FC will soon be able to get back to raising funds on the pitch.

For their return to action, we’ve provided the Lincoln-based outfit with a brand new, bespoke #PowerUp match kit. We’ve turned the classic Nike Park VII jersey into something unique to the club, with a vertical stripe made of British Heart Foundation symbols.

The kit has already gone down a storm with the players of the charity outfit.

“We all love the kit,” Gary told us. “It’s a brilliant design and we love the heart design. It’s a classic kit that we will be proud to wear every time, and we thank so much for the support.”

If you want to support the charity, we have also released the match shirt online over at £10 from every sale will be donated to BHF FC, and you’ll receive a beautiful one-of-a-kind shirt. A great deal, right?

The club’s new training top (below) is also available online for just £19.99, with £5 going to the charity.

You can also follow the club’s journey on social media. Head over to their Facebook or Twitter now.

We wish BHF FC all the best for the upcoming matches, with the team next due to take to the pitch on 4th April. Keep up the good work, guys!
