The Home of English Football
This weekend sees the very first Kitlocker.com SGP Cup take place at none other than St. George’s Park! We’re very excited for Saturday’s action which will see four of our Nike Partner Clubs travel down to Burton-upon-Trent. The tournament is a first-of-a-kind in the teamwear industry, and is sure to be an eventful day for all those involved.
We created the SGP Cup with the intention of providing just some of our fantastic customers with amazing added value. St. George’s Park – the home of the national football teams – is a world-class football complex. The venue has hosted the likes of the England captains Harry Kane, Wayne Rooney and Steph Houghton since opening in 2012. By giving young players the opportunity to play there themselves, we’re hopeful that we can provide them with a day to remember. Thanks to Nike and the FA, we are able to do that.
The Inaugural Kitlocker.com SGP Cup
The SGP Cup is not just a day out, however. The teams involved – Tintwistle Athletic, Menston JFC, AFC Waverton and West Essex Colts – are coming to be competitive. Each team will play each other once, with the top two facing off in the final after the third-place play-off has been played. Upon the final whistle, we will present the winning team with a trophy in front of the watching spectators at the indoor venue. Will will also be giving each participating player a custom-made NPC medal. We think you’ll agree that they’re pretty special….

It is not just those there on the day who will get to experience it. We’ve invited the best grassroots football recording crew in the country to stream it online. FilmMyMatch will be broadcasting the event from the sidelines on our Facebook channel in real-time. This will give you, as well as family and friends of those involved, the chance to catch the action.
There will be eight games played in total, with the first fixture AFC Waverton vs Menston JFC. We’ll be starting just before 2pm this Saturday, so make sure you tune in! Click HERE to follow the latest action.
St. George’s Park – Kitlocker’s 2nd Home!
Saturday is not just a flash in the pan. The Kitlocker.com SGP Cup will be the third event in less than six months that we have hosted at the venue for our customers.
We have a strong working relationship with the guys at Nike and the FA. With thanks to them, we have been able to give some of the students at Sheffield and Tresham Colleges the ‘best day of their lives’ (their word, not ours). YouTubers Palmers FC – everyone’s second favourite football team – were also able to beat our staff side in front of 120,000 viewers. You can check out Team Kitlocker’s debut in that game at St. George’s Park below.
The Nike Partner Club Experience
We are committed to giving the clubs the best experience not just on the day, but throughout the year. The tournament coincides with the recent release of the new Nike 2018 teamwear catalogue. We will be taking new products to the complex on the day for the clubs to trial. This will be the first opportunity many will have to see some of the great new match kit and trainingwear designs from the brand.
This weekend’s event is a reward for just some of our many Nike Partner Clubs. All sides involved with the scheme receive awesome additional benefits. As well as access to match tickets, a dedicated online store and rebate schemes, NPCs are eligible for similar ‘experience’ opportunities. Don’t believe us? Why not check out the below video of the recent Nike event in Manchester for two of our sides.
We’re more than willing to help your club look the part in branded teamwear, just like Saturday’s four teams. You can find out more about the Nike Partner Club Scheme by clicking HERE.
“…AND IT’S LIVE!”
The excitement is building here at Kitlocker HQ. We cannot wait to bring you all the action from Saturday’s games.
We’re also looking forward to meeting up with parents, players and staff from each club and finding out more about them. If you cannot watch the games live, don’t worry – we’ll be posting plenty more footage from the day. Expect interviews and highlights from the day as we present to you exactly why we are Changing Teamwear.
If can tune in, please join us! We’ll be streaming from 2pm on Saturday on Facebook and it’s live!
