Here at Kitlocker.com we’ve always got our ears to the ground and we’re well aware that there are a lot of financial struggles going on in all walks of life at the moment, not least grassroots sport.
Which is why we are always on the lookout for ways in which we can help do something positive for the clubs that put their all into serving their communities up and down the country.
Recently, we teamed up with Easyfundraising and ran a giveaway of 25 full sets of Nike kit, 65 sets of Nike footballs and 10 Kitlocker.com vouchers. A total prize haul worth a whopping £22,000. This was open to any club and there were no restrictions on who could enter.
As you can imagine, these prizes attracted a huge amount of attention, with over 25,000 visitors to the competition page.
We spoke to a few of the lucky winners to find out what it meant to them to get themselves some free kit for their team:
“As a kid’s grassroots football team, finding funding is always difficult. We have recently lost a few players which means reduced subs coming in each month. That really impacts the ability to buy equipment and kit for the team, so being a winner of a full kit has been so much help to us.
It has taken so much pressure off of the team financially, we cannot thank Kitlocker enough.
Unfortunately in the picture above, the lads are looking pretty unhappy as they had just lost in the final of a tournament. But I promise they loved the kits!”

“Winning a set of strips was a God-send to us. Our youth academy works in an area of high deprivation and we work tirelessly to ensure that every kid who has a desire to participate in football gets that chance.
With that commitment comes the realisation that the kids need equipment and clothing. We had just created another team as we got news from Kitlocker that we had won a set of strips and it could not have happened at a better time. To be able to instantly give these kids a brand new set of strips and see the joy on their faces was fantastic.

“We won a full set of kits for our team, Admaston Juniors Under 11s. We used the prize to be able to give the boys an “away kit” – there’s a good few that we come up against in our league that play in green as we do!
Also, many teams in our league have away/change kits but we’ve never had the funds to supply the boys with both a “home” and “away” kit for the season, as we have to manage the finances carefully to be able to afford everything else we need.
It’s also special for the team as 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of Admaston Juniors FC, having been founded in 1972, and Kitlocker were able to incorporate the special badge that we’ve had designed to mark the occasion. The overall design of the kits was brilliant, as is the quality, and we got them very quickly.
It’s been a real lift for the team just before the start of the season and the boys are extremely impressed with their new kits.”

“Bartley Reds were delighted to have won a full squad kit through the Easyfundraising Kitlocker competition. Following notification of the win, Kitlocker delivered an excellent service to get the kit to us. They were helpful through the design process and the kit was delivered on time with a high quality Nike product.
The kit is for our youngest group at Under 7s and in times of financial challenge will mean a lot to the parents that they don’t have to pay for a kit. The only problem now is that all the other teams want the same design!
