The Brand That Keeps On Giving

With Christmas just around the corner now, we now have another reason to be excited. This year our friends at Nike have decided to bring their new football catalogue launch forward, with products available from Kitlocker.com available in the coming weeks.

Nike are reknowned for providing some of the best sportswear in the industry, supplying the likes of Barcelona, Paris Saint Germain and the English national team. Their kits are also worn by thousands in grassroots teams across the country, many of whom we supply. Such catalogue launches are therefore some of the biggest events in the Kitlocker.com calendar.

With this being said, what better time to introduce you to another side of the brand that you might be unfamiliar with? The Nike Football Live team travel around the country throughout the year, coaching a variety of age-groups in the sport. They’ve also worked alongside the likes of England players Marcus Rashford, John Stones and Jack Butland.

We’ve had the pleasure of getting to know coaches Jon Phillips and Dan Holloway in the past year. They have been present at a number of sessions with some of our customers befitting from our relationship with them, including at FAB Academy and Hartlepool Sixth Form College. It has been great to see their work in action, with tailored sessions provided by the team for the students.

Joining Forces for Our Customers

Recently youngsters from Droyslden FC and AFC Urmston Meadowside have got to witness their expertise first hand. The two clubs involved got to experience this as Nike Partner Clubs with Kitlocker.com, which entitles them to many benefits. You can read more about their day HERE, and if you want to learn how you can get involved yourself you can do HERE.

We spoke to Holloway after the event, hosted by ourselves and Manchester FA, about his involvement with NFL. Luckily, for those wanting to know more about Holloway and the brand experience, we took our camera with us. Check out the interview below!

Unique Brand Experience

As you can tell from the video, Holloway knows his stuff. He speaks positively about his role with Nike who, he says, provide a ‘unique brand experience’. Certainly, we cannot think of any other sports manufacturer who travel the country dedicated to providing expertly conducted training sessions. The trialling of new products for those involved is a great touch too, although we couldn’t help but notice Holloway was loyal to a classic boot design!

It is clear when watching Holloway (and Phillips) work that they instantly gather the respect of their students. The professionalism on the days that they conduct is second-to-none, and it could be said that this is largely due to the highly-respected Nike branding. Holloway’s love and knowledge for the game cannot be doubted, too. His team’s events can provide coaches with as much of a valuable an insight as the players taking part themselves.

More to Come Soon...

We’re looking forward to working with Holloway and Phillips for upcoming events with some of our clubs. Such days bring ourselves, our customers and Nike all together and boost relationships between all parties. We’re yet to hear a bad word spoken about Holloway – apart from during the camaraderie between him and his counterpart, Phillips!

Stay tuned for some more build-up to the new Nike catalogue launch for 2018. Fear not, this will include the stylish Squad 17 range that Holloway was wearing in the video plus a lot more. Expect matchwear, trainingwear and leisurewear ranges – suitable for your team whatever your style – soon on Kitlocker.com at discounted prices.
