The county’s showpiece final rounded off a successful first year for Surrey FA at their new home, Meadowbank Stadium in Dorking.

After a competitive and high quality 90 minutes Metropolitan Police FC came out 2-0 winners against Tooting & Mitcham United. For more on this check out the video below.

The new purpose built ground is also used by local non-league outfit Dorking Wanderers. The state of the art offices on site are the new home of the County FA. The development is named after Meadowbank Park, which it neighbours, providing a beautiful green surrounding.

The stadium has a capacity of 2,000 spectators for football matches. Plans are already afoot to increase that number following Dorking Wanderers’ promotion to the National League South.

Meadowbank also boasts catering facilities, meeting rooms and a children’s soft play area. Plus, what we can reliably confirm is probably the nicest bar in non-league football.

The launch event back in the summer saw the stadium host some of the country’s most talented young footballers, as five time FA Youth Cup Champions Chelsea U18s took on their counterparts from Oxford United.

The new facility provides a central location for not only County Cup finals and FA events but also provides new opportunities to the local community. These include Business Leagues, Disability Football sessions and much more.

With the capacity to provide football for up to 5,000 members of the local community every week through it’s various uses, Meadowbank really does provide #FootballForAll
