You may have seen our pretty faces across Kitlocker’s Facebook page recently, streaming a game of football to our followers. However, this wasn’t any old football match, this football match was played at the home of the England Football National Team, on the same pitch that Premier League stars train on before international fixtures.

We offered this fantastic opportunity to two of Kitlocker’s college accounts, Tresham College & The Sheffield College who are both members of the Association of Colleges (AoC). You can find their website here. Both colleges have been fantastic to work with over the last academic year, with the relationship set to continue in 2018 and beyond. Each college has their own dedicated online store and account manager, who is on hand to confirm Nike product ranges, process offline bulk orders for match kit or trainingwear and handle any rebates confirmed upon signing with Kitlocker.

Back to the event, and we’re proud to be able to quote Abi Amaru Shakur from The Sheffield College, who described the experience as “one of the best of his life”. With Steve Coddington, HE Student and ECFA Football Activator adding “The highlight of my football coaching career!” From a Kitlocker perspective, we must say the professionalism and enthusiasm shown throughout by both sets of students and coaches was second to none, particularly in the face of a 10-0 defeat of The Sheffield College by Tresham (sorry Sheffield!).

It also without any surprise that some of the players have been chosen to represent the English Colleges Football Association (ECFA) at national level. You can find out more about the ECFA here.

As well as some action shots from the game in this article, below is a video produced in house at Kitlocker summarising the experience from the players getting off the coaches right through to Tresham’s  Sol being awarded the Man of the Match, where he won a pair of Nike Magista Orden II football boots. Congratulations again, Sol!

The St Georges Park experience was a truly unique one that we’re sure students and coaches alike will be talking about for some time. It was an experience that we’re sure will soon again arise for a number of our schools, colleges and universities that we’re proud to call our customers.
